MILITARY RESOURCE FAIR & STAND DOWN Fairgrounds, Helena, MT (cancelled in 2021) Oro Fino supports this event each year. We help at the registration table and serve food. The event is for veterans and their families and includes an Honor Walk to remember our fallen.

Veterans Center Desserts - Monthly 1301 Elm St., Suite C, Helena, MT Oro Fino Chapter members sign up to deliver desserts to the local veterans center between the 10th and 15th of each month. If you are interested in participating, please contact one of the Oro Fino chapter officers.

2020 Wreaths Across America
Chapter Meetings:The Oro Fino Chapter meets on the 2nd Saturday ~ September through May at 9:30am.We meet at Fortress of Joy Church located at 720 Faw Street, Helena, MT; most meetings consist of Chapter business and then an educational and historical program at the end.
We support and sponsor
Education: DAR Good Citizens Award, the Christopher Columbus Essay Contests, American History and NSDAR Helen Pouch Community Classroom Grant, as well as various scholarships to High School Seniors.
Patriotism: Naturalization Ceremony:Several times each year, Oro Fino participates in Naturalization ceremonies in Helena for new United State citizens.
We are active in various Veteran related events as such, East Helena Memorial Day and Veteran’s Day Parades, Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day and Veterans Honor Walk & Freedom Ceremony at the State Capitol, Joint Community Forces Christmas Dinner for Veterans and donations throughout the year to veterans and active duty military here in Helena and throughout the world.
Historic Preservation: DAR National Day of Service on October 11th to honor our founders and to service the community.
On or around September 17th DAR sponsors Constitution Day at MT State Capitol Rotunda, which includes area school children rings bells and singing patriotic songs.
On September 11th, 2020 we placed a DAR Historical Marker at the Pioneer Cabin on Reeder's Alley in Helena, MT. Look under the "NSDAR Marker" tab on this website for photos from the event.
Other annual events include, Wreaths Across America, working at the Lewis and Clark County Fair, and our Chapter’s Family Picnic in August each year.
In April each year, all of the Montana Chapters meet for our State Conference, as DAR had been in Montana for 127 years (1894-2021), this event has a long standing tradition of “pomp and circumstance.”
